RE:         CMS Extends Temporary Enrollment Moratoria of Ground Ambulance Suppliers

CMS has announced that the temporary moratoria on the enrollment of new ground ambulance suppliers has been extended for an additional six-month period in two metropolitan areas in the United States.

Today’s Federal Register announces the action extending the moratoria first imposed on July 13, 2013 for yet another half-year period in both the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Houston, Texas Metropolitan areas.

CMS will continue to reject any new credentialing applications for ground ambulance suppliers in the Pennsylvania Counties of Bucks, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia along with the Counties of Burlington, Camden and Gloucester in New Jersey which comprises the Greater Philadelphia metro area.

The Texas Counties of Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Montgomery and Waller are included in the action for the Greater Houston metro area.
