RE:           Reps Nunes & Boustany introduce bill to delay reimbursement cuts to ambulance services

Congressmen Devin Nunes (CA-22) and Charles Boustany (LA-3) introduced a bipartisan bill in the House of Representatives today to delay implementation of a rule approved by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) that affects ambulance services. The rule, which would reclassify certain rural zip codes as urban areas, would reduce the Medicare reimbursement rate for ambulance services in the re-designated areas. Congressmen Doug LaMalfa (CA-1), Peter DeFazio (OR-4), Mike Thompson (CA-5), Paul Cook (CA-8), Mike Kelly (PA-3) and David Valadao (CA-21) also co-sponsored the bill.

Guaranteed cash flow during transition.
